Simon Rodgers – Founder
Simon has always had a passion for cooking and baking but it was not until a health scare after years of working in the finance industry that he decided to follow his heart and start his own organic bakehouse. Envisaging more than just bread, Simon wanted a community space that offered customers an honest approach to one of life's most simple tasks - buying our daily bread. With a background in finance, Simon is not one to overlook the small print and is on a mission to make people aware of the hidden preservatives and additives in all food, especially flour. Transparency and authenticity are key values that Simon and his team have expertly folded into the fabric (and recipes) of Four.
Ellen Johnson – Pâtissière and Chocolatière
Ellen is the creative brains behind the Four Bakery & Chocolaterie brand and its organic sourdough bakes. Ellen's impressive employment credentials include Pastry Chef de Partie at the eminent Relais & Chateaux Longueville Manor Hotel and at Lord and Lady Northampton’s Falcon Hotel. Growing up in France it is no surprise that Ellen is a magician in the kitchen Not only did Ellen graduate from the prestigious Leith's School of Food and Wine, gaining a diploma in Culinary Arts with Merit, she also has a degree in Social Psychology which comes in handy when dealing with the boss! Ellen’s great passion though, which she shares with Simon, is all things chocolate. Look out for our delicious handmade chocolate collection coming soon.
Tania – Vegan Baker
When Tania is not busy welcoming customers with a warm smile you will find her in the kitchen creating her next batch of vegan-friendly treats that are so good, you wouldn't believe they don't contain dairy! Tania's sublime vegan apple and cinnamon cake and mouthwatering blueberry tarts will keep you coming back into the shop every single day!
Grace – Pâtissière
Fresh from Jersey's prestigious Relais & Chateaux Longueville Manor Hotel Grace may not be one to shout about her talents but we are more than happy to boast about her being in the Four Kitchen. Behind the quiet facade there is an extraordinary level 3 Pâtissière chef who has accomplished numerous culinary awards including 2nd Place Channel Island Young Chef of the Year and winner of Heat for three consecutive years.
